The denser the vapor is, the higher is the vaporizing temperature and the
concentration of active and/or aromatic substances. The density of the vapor is
basically influenced by
three factors: the strength of the flame used for
heating the air, the strength of the inhalation and the duration of the
inhalation.
All these factors depend on your personal control and preferences.
Generally speaking we recommend you to vaporize rather slowly and without
rushing in order to avoid extremely dense vapor. Vapor with a low density is the
best for your lungs and also provides the best tasting vapor.
Please take into consideration that inhaling very fast and using a very strong
flame might theoretically cause the plant to burn. Still, the VAPOCANE design
minimizes that risk and with a little care you'll never have to deal with undesired
combustion. Simply take your time and, above all, make sure to stop heating
when the vapor inside the pipe turns very dense. Under normal circumstances
you'll be able to fill your lungs with vapor for the first time after about 10 seconds.
Contrary to what happens when burning the plant you can fill the pipe with
vapour another 5 to 10 times because after the first inhalation the tobacco is far
away from being completely consumed.
If you prefer to avoid any direct contact between the flame and the air you inhale
then take advantage of the second and ultra clean VAPOCANE heating option:
the indirect use of the flame!
B: VAPORISING WITH INDIRECT FLAME USE
Using the flame indirectly you heat up the VAPOCANE from the side in the area
of the VAPOCANE logo (cf. drawing p. 5). When you inhale through the pipe, the
air entering the device doesn't get in touch with the flame but is heated up by the
hot glass of the VAPOCANE. The process couldn't be cleaner. Still, in order to
be able to take full advantage of indirect flame use you need a burning-tool
similar to the ones included in the VAPOCANE Advanced Set. You may also use
a welding torch. Normal lighters as well as the average turbo- or jetflame lighters
can't produce the necessary heat or rather can't stand the continuous load
needed for indirect heating.
Point with the flame at the VAPOCANE from the side and move it constantly up
and down in order to heat up the whole area between the two narrow sections of
the inner diameter of the device. It's very important to heat the whole area up
homogeneously.
Don't just direct the flame to one single point of the device
for a long time without moving it. This could melt the glass.
Heat the device
up for about 30 to 60 seconds (depending on the room temperature) before
vaporizing for the first time.
