The control panel and the touch sensitive sensor buttons as well as the con-
nection port for the air extraction hose.
The control light of the
Pulse Vacuum, Vacuum & Seal, Manual Seal, Memory,
Marinate, Canister
as well as the
Pulse Blow
button lights up depending on
which function you have activated by touching the corresponding button. Once a
function has been completed, the corresponding control light goes out.
The settings above the
Vacuum
(“Normal” or “Gentle”),
Food
(“Dry” or “Moist”)
and
Weld
(“Double” or “Single”) button light up as well. Once the appliance is
connected to the power mains, the standard settings “Gentle” (above the
Vacuum
button) and “Dry” (above the
Food
button) as well as “Single” (above the
Weld
button) light up and indicate that the appliance is in standby mode.
A Pulse Vacuum
– As long as you touch this button, the appliance vacuums and the blue button
surround as well as the LEDs of the progress indicator light up. If you let go
of the button, the vacuuming process stops, the blue button surround goes
out. This manual vacuum function is ideal for food or items that are very pres-
sure-sensitive, as the vacuuming process can be stopped at any time. Sealing
is not done automatically, instead it has to be activated with the
Manual Seal
button.
B Cancel
– Touching this button during use immediately stops the vacuuming resp. sealing
or marinating process.
C Vacuum & Seal
– Button with blue button surround, first starts the vacuuming process and
automatically seals afterwards. During the extraction process, only the
Vac-
uum & Seal
control light lights up, once the sealing process starts as well, the
Manual Seal
light lights up additionally. Once both processes are finished,
both lights go out one after the other.
D Progress Indicator
– You can tell the status of the currently chosen function from the number of
blue-lit dots. When all six dots light up blue and then go out, the selected
function is completed. This will also be reported by a sound signal.
E Manual Seal
Button with blue button surround and two functions:
1. For manually sealing film bags, e.g. if you want to make a bag and are required
to seal one bag end first.
2. For stopping the vacuuming process and immediately sealing the bag in Vacuum
& Seal function. Example: If you have selected the Vacuum & Seal function and
notice the pressure getting too high for the foods in the bag during automatic
vacuuming, you can immediately stop the motor pump and start the sealing
process by touching the
Manual Seal
button.
F Memory
– The memory function automatically saves the settings made most recently
in every function except the Marinate and Canister functions. Thanks to this
Memory function, it’s enough to just push the start lever and the appliance
starts working according the most recent settings. In the Pulse Vacuum and
Pulse Blow settings, even the operating time of the appliance is stored. If the
Memory function is eligible for usage, the blue button surround of the
Mem-
ory
button lights up. The memory is wiped if the appliance is disconnected
from the power mains or if the Memory function is disabled by a touch of the
Memory
button.
G Marinate
– Button with blue button surround, for marinating meat / poultry / fish in the
square 1,0 l or 2,8 l Solis containers using the included air extraction hose.
H Canister
– Button with blue button surround, for vacuuming a Solis container, wine
bottle seals or the reusable vacuum bags using the included air extraction
hose. If you connect the accessories to the connection port via the air extraction
hose and touch the
Canister
button, the air is sucked out, forming a vacuum.
Caution:
Please use exclusively the original Solis accessory parts and the original
air extraction hose (attached to the appliance resp. included in the delivered
accessories).
