1. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is OFF.

2. Turn ON the AC to the inverter by turning ON the circuit breaker on the main

distribution panel.

WARNING!

ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Do not touch uninsulated wires when the SMI
cover is removed.

3. Use the internal buttons to configure the connection. To set the inverter designated

as master, select the following in the LCD menus:

Communication

Server

LAN, ZigBeeor

Wi-Fi

RS485- Conf.

Device Type

SolarEdge

RS485- Conf.

Protocol

Master

RS485- Conf.

Slave Detect

The system starts automatic detection of the slave inverters connected to the

master inverter. The inverter should report the correct number of slaves. If it does

not, verify the connections and terminations.

4. Verify the connection of the master to the monitoring platform, as described in the

next section.
