-HOw dOES IT wORk?
It is based on the scientific principle of se-
lective photothermolysis, rPl™ (reactive
Pulsed light) advanced technology uses
clinically proven IPl technology along with
a combination of unique skin condition sen-
sors. the light penetrates the epidermis to
the dermis and is absorbed by the melanin
in the hair shaft. the heat is generated by
the absorbed light then dissipates into the
follicle and generates local thermal dama-
ge, causing a reduction in hair growth.

two factors play an important role in opti-
mal long-term hair reduction:
· hair growth cycle involves three phases:
anagen, catagen, and telogen. anagen
is the growth phase, while catagen and
telogen are the resting phases. Perma-
nent hair reduction can only occur during
the anagen phase.
· skin types (according to the fitzpatrick
scale) are illustrated in the diagram at the
back cover. Darker skin contains more
melanin, which competes with the targe-
ted hair for light energy absorption. when
more light energy is absorbed into the
skin, there is a greater risk for adverse
effects and the epidermis may be dama-
ged.
