When we make the kite go up transversely to the ground and when it
gets above the pilot's head, we feel that the traction power
diminished until almost none. This region where the kite is attacked
by the wind just in the trailing edge, we call it as neutral zone. Both
above the head and next to the ground, this zone offers great safety
to the pilotage.
YOUR KITE AT THE WIND
For you better understand the extension of the forces during the
flight, note the figure bellow. Be careful since there are positions
which the kite will demand a bigger body effort.
PILOTING YOUR KITE
Avoid bending so the lines will be twisted since the friction of both of
them may make the lines to tear.

All regions in front of the pilot exert a very strong traction which is
called power zone. We can only use this region when we have
complete control over the kite, and able to practice some sport,
always respecting the canopy size compatible with the wind and the
sport to be practiced.
