7. BASIC OPERATION
The
Bluetooth
wireless modem incorporated in the RC-Controller allows simultaneous communication
between the RC-Controller and both the total station and data collector. COM1 is designed for long-
range (line-of-sight distance up to 300m) communication with the total station. COM2 is for
communication with data collectors.
COM2 usable range varies depending on the usable range of the
companion device.

connections
Communication between a pair of
Bluetooth
devices requires one device to be set as the "Master"
and the other as the "Slave". To initiate connections from the SRX/NET side, set the SRX/NET as
the "Master" device. To initiate connections from the paired device side, set the SRX/NET as the
"Slave" device. The factory setting for the SRX/NET is "Slave".
Bluetooth

COM2: Data collector (Master) - RC-Controller (Slave)
