Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) provides a basic level of security,
preventing unauthorized access to the network and encrypting data
transmitted between wireless clients. WEP uses static shared keys (fixed-
length hexadecimal or alphanumeric strings) that are manually distributed
to all clients that want to use the network. When WEP shared-key security
is enabled, you must configure at least one key.

The following items are displayed for WEP Shared-key security:

WEP Key Length
— Sets the length of the WEP key. (Default: 64 bit;
Options: 64 bit, 128 bit)

WEP Key Entry Method
— Specifies the method for entering the WEP
key values. (Default: Hexadecimal; Options: Hexadecimal, Ascii Text)

Key 1 ~ Key 4
— Sets WEP key values. The user must first choose
between ASCII or Hexadecimal keys. At least one key must be
specified. Each WEP key has an index number. Enter key values that
match the key type and length settings. Standard keys are either 5 or
13 alphanumeric characters; or 10 or 26 hexadecimal digits.

Default Key
— Sets the WEP key used for authentication. (Default: 1;
Range: 1~4)
