1. Quick couplings from CEJN, with custom made
thread adaptors, offers safe and quick replacement of
extinguishers without reducing the flow.
2. Durable and flexible hose.1.8 m length makes an
attack against the ceiling possible without carrying
the bottle, and is not too long to carry mounted on
the bottle. Press-mounted quick couplings of the same
model at both ends. It allows high flow, 20bars press-
sure and repeated use, even after exposed to powder.
Note! Be sure to empty the entire extinguier before
switching to prevent powder still in the hose from
falling back into the coupling and being pressed
between nipple and coupling during replacement.
3. The quick coupling to the lance makes the equip-
ment rotatable and thus manageable without the
hose rotating. It allows you to carry the lance and
hose separately for quick assembly just before use.
4. Ergonomically designed rubber grip to feel the
orientation of the Powder Lance and intuitively hol-
ding it with the distribution pattern facing upwards.
The stright flow of extinguishing agent into the pow-
der Lance provides minimal friction.
5. A stainless steel ring protects the hand guard from
direct contact with the ground when laid down.
6. The hand guard is made in anodised aluminium. It
gives character to the product and with the arrow
marker that you can see and feel on top you will
know the orientation of the distribution pattern
behind a window or wall. The design is registered.
7. The lance pipe in anodised aluminium is light to
carry, provides a strong surface layer and less friction
for the extinguishing agent inside the pipe. Dimens-
ioned for good throwing length and 2 mm thickness
gives stability and strength. Two different lengths: The
original 545 mm and the longer lance 1340 mm.
8. The original nozzle (right in the picture) is precision
cast in stainless steel. It is designed for horizontal at-
tack, through a window frame or the gable of an
attic. The front beam has a throwing length of 12m in
an enclosed space. Most extinguishing agents are
distributed upwards into the hot smoke. It cools the
smoke down and dilute it to prevent the smoke from
igniting and the fire from spreading. The wide-beam
nozzle (left in the picture) is milled in stainless steel.
Designed to give a wide pattern with good throwing
length sideways. It can be used up on the attic or
apartment from the floor beneath. Both models have
a set of rays that take care of the closest surrounding
area that is easily missed otherwise. The nozzles can
be dismounted, which facilitates maintenance and
cleaning. The original nozzle design is registred.

FUNCTION
COMPLEMENTARY EQUIPMENT
9. A cordless drilling machine, at least
18V with two batteries of at least 2.0
Ah is recommended. A drill D = 20 mm
is a necessary. With a 50cm drill you
can go most constructions but for most
window frames 25cm is enough. An all-
round drill takes you through most
materials. For concrete and bricks, a hammer drill is recom-
mended. Make sure you have the extra battery charged and
close at hand. Place the drill machine so that it is easily accessi-
ble. Read specification and safety instructions for your particular
drilling machine.
10. The powder Lance can be connected to
a powder extinguisher of any brand or size.
The only requirement is that the hose has a
threaded connection in one of the most
common sizes to which quick couplings are
available, M14x1,5 , M16x1,5 or G1/4”. The
extinguisher must not have an air valve
placed directly under the hose connection,
the quick coupling cannot be mounted
then. The bottle is by default pressurized
with 15 bar and has some sort of extinguish-
ing agent, usually a salt mixture of ammoni-
um-sulphate and ammonium-dihydrogen-
phosphate. See specification and read the
safety instructions from each manufacturer
for information about your particular fire
extinguisher.
PREPARATION
—
Connect the Powder Lance to the extinguisher.
1. Replace the existing hose on a powder extinguisher with the
quick-coupling nipple that comes with the Powder Lance. Tight-
en by hand, only so that the O-ring is not damaged.
2. On the nipple, connect the hose to the Powder Lance.
3. At the other end of the hose, connect the Powder Lance.
You can prepare more powder extinguishers
for fast switching by purchasing more nip-
ples. If you like to keep the original function
of the extinguisher too, you can purchase a
kit including a quick coupler for the original
hose as well. The powder extinguisher can
then be used as normal and when desired
you can simply disconnect the original hose
and replace it with the Powder Lance.
METHOLOGY
1. Locate the room where the fire has its stronghold.
2. Drill straight into the fire compartment The rekommendation is
to make the attack through a window frame or center beam.
3. Pull the safety pin on the Extinguizer and press the lever down.
Keep The lance stady with the arrow mark showing on top. The
Powder Lance will then help you to spreading the extinguishing
agent evenly in the room for the best possible effect. If you know
the origin of the fire you can continue by rotating the lance to-
ward this side to gain a higher concentration in that direction.
The attack can also be made through a door, a door frame (or the
concrete wall beside a safety door), a vent valve, the end gable of
the attic or through a wall. The long lance with the wide angle
nozzle can be used through the ceiling or the roof,
