General notes
The following connections must be made at the heat pump:
-
Input/output heat source
-
Flow/return heating
-
Power supply
-
Cold water, hot water, circulation
-
Flow/return solar (option S)
Preparation
The connections for the heat pumps of the bravour series are to lead from the right side or from behind in the ma-
chine
. Comprehensive hydraulic accessories such as e.g. connection kits, switching units, etc. (refer to product cata-
loguet)
are available for the optimum connection in the SmartHeat system accessories
.
In the right housing part are
lasered circular openings which can be broken out according to need. For the line feeding the rear are located in the
rear of the machine also circular cutouts that must be sealed with the supplied insulating jacket when not in use.
The heat pumps are integrated in the heating network and for drinking water preparation it may be quite different
depending on the application. In any case it must be observed that it is necessary to work with spreading between the
flow and return from 3 – 4 K resp. 5 – 7 K on the heat source and heating side in order to attain the values indicated on
the data sheets resp. in order to avoid malfunctions. Compared to traditional incinerators of higher mass flows, i.e.
larger pipe cross sections and corresponding pump designs.

The sensor of the thermostatic expansion valve has to be removed from the tube before soldering, when connecting
the connecting line to the machine. The thermostatic expansion valve and the sensor have, absolutely, to be cooled
during soldering. After soldering, the sensor has to be reconnected to the tube at the original position.
Attention has to be paid to sufficient thermal contact.
When connecting the tying up line with the machine all corresponding EC- direc-
tives, DIN and VDE standards and regulations were kept.

Connect input/output heat source at the heat pump according to the designation.
Do not forget the safety devices and the expansion vessel when installing the heat
source!
A dirt trap should be mounted at the heat source input of the heat pump in order
to protect the evaporator against soiling. Additionally it is necessary to install a
micro air bubble separator in the heat source system.
Produce the brine before filling the system.
The brine concentration should have a frost protection of at least -15°C.
Only use anti-freeze on the basis of monoethylene glycol or propylene glycol basis.
