Ethernet Traffic Statistics
Transmitted Bytes
Total number of packets transmitted from the particular
interface
Transmitted Unicast packets
Total number of successfully transmitted unicast packets
to a specified destination
Transmitted Discards
The number of unicast and multicast packets dropped
before a transmission attempt was made because of
congestion or an error along the path.
In most cases, packet loss is due to network congestion.
Packets are discarded to avoid the very large delays that
can arise when too much traffic is queued up.
