The Matrix Core's Gimbal has been designed to be used with a stabilization arm like
SmartSystem's X1/X-Lite or a compatible one.
It is forbidden and punishable by law the use of the equipment for
different purposes.
Overview
INTERFACE PLATE (UPPER/LOWER) : It's based on the SmartCAM standard and allow
the user to host the head (SmartHEAD and SmartHEAD Lite and others) with all the
accessories like C-Battery and so on. The perfect symmetry of these plates make you
indifferent to mount one accessory on side rather than another extending the real
possibilites offered by your Matrix Core
UPPER / LOWER BOX : Every Matrix Core interconnection boxes are equipped, based on
the mode purchased, with push-pull type professional connectors and BNC connector with
golden contact (HD-SDI tested). In order to know the exact polarity for each connectore,
please take a look to the related paragraph.
GIMBAL : Every gimbal axis is controlled by a pair of ball bearings to grant an absolute
smoothness and precision. The Matrix Sled's Gimbal has a sligth intrinsic drag between
the gimbal structure and carbon fiber post to simplify the counterbalancing operations and
avoid any sudden sliding during that phase. It's completely Tool-Free thanks to the specific
fixing hose clamp expressly designed for carbon-fiber post.
TELESCOPIC : Thanks to the telescopic extension, Matrix Core allows to counterbalance
also the heavier cameras. The regulation ad fixing of the Matrix Core total length is
completely Tool-Free.
Balancing
In order to balance Matrix sled, the operator should just follow the standard procedure of
the steadycam sector.
