2.5.2

PCIE-7217 Card Removal

To remove the PCIE-7217 card, perform the following steps:

1.

Make sure you are working in an ESD-safe environment. For more details, refer to

Prevention on page 48

2.

Shut down the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the shelf
from the power source through the BMC or by pressing the power button.

3.

Remove the 6/32 screw securing the card near the rear panel, and the M3.0 screw on
the front card guide and gently pull the PCIE-7217 card from the slot.

4.

Place the PCIE-7217 card in an ESD-protective bag and seal it securely.

The heat sink can be extremely hot. Wait at least 30 minutes for the card to cool

down.
