For attaching the twister directly to a tree, a branch with a diameter of at least 10” is recommended.
If you are unsure about the health of your selected trees, consult with an arborist. Tip: One good place start looking for an arborist -
Visit:
http://www.isarbor.com/findanarborist/findanarborist.aspx
Do not install home playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, packed earth, grass, carpet or any other hard surfaces. A fall
onto a hard surface can result in serious injuring or death to the equipment user.
Caution: We recommend a soft, grass course underneath that is clear of ALL obstacles: bushes, rocks, or anything else that could
cause injury. If the grass course becomes hard-packed over time, move the course to a softer location.
It is also recommended that you place cushioning materials in and around your course - See Public Playground Safety Handbook:
Visit: www.cpsc.gov//PageFiles/122149/325.pdf. for specifications.
Select a location that is easily viewed from your house to allow for supervision and observation.
Do not setup a course over swimming pools, ponds, streams or rivers as drowning may result.
Children should not walk close to, in front of, behind or between moving items
Children should not use equipment in a manner other than intended
Children should not wear in appropriate clothing, such as, but not limited to, loose fitting clothing, hood and neck drawstrings,
scarves, cord connected items, capes and ponchos. These items can cause death by strangulation.
Children should not to attach items to the playground equipment that are not specifically designed for use with the
equipment, such as, but not limited to, jump ropes, clothesline, pet leashes, cables and chain as they may cause a
strangulation hazard
Do not use the Twister while wearing a bike or sports helmet
Children should wear well fitting and full foot enclosing footwear. Examples of inappropriate footwear are clogs, flip flops and
sandles
Step 2- Healthy Tree determination
If you are installing the Twister on the Ninjaline, perform load stress test on Ninjaline per instructions. If you are using the Ninja
Twister without the Ninjaline, then you should perform load stress test on the tree branch
Before anyone uses the climbing rope, you must:
Step 1: Keep your course clear -
Bystanders should maintain a safe distance from the Twister of
at least 10ft (3.1m) to prevent impacts by
person’s
jumping down from climbing rope. If you are unsure about your health
for using a Twister please consult with your doctor before attempting
Step 2: Inspect your equipment-
Carefully examine your climbing rope for any signs of wear, damage or
deterioration. Replace only with genuine b4Adventure parts. Call 1-844-834-4334
Step 3:
MANDATORY LOAD STRESS TEST-
Suspend 350 LBS (159kg) from your twister by attaching weights to the rope or have two
people (who weigh 350 LBS together) grip the rope and gradually suspend their weight on the rope until both of their feet are off
the ground. CAUTION: If at any time during the testing, if you hear or see and signs of weakness (cracking sounds, fraying etc.) stop
your test, you must select either a different location or replace damaged parts.
