REMOVABlE FOAM PROTECTOR (MOUSSE BAG)
The RANGE X-ALPS is equipped with a removable foam protector known as a „mousse
bag“. The protector is certified to the strictest criteria of LTF09 and fulfills these when it
is installed in the harness according to the type inspection. For hike & fly adventures or
bivouac flying the mousse bag can be removed quickly and easily through the outside
zipper, creating more room for a ground pad or a sleeping bag. Without the mousse bag
the protector compartment of your RANGE X-ALPS turns into and airflow-dependent
ram air protector via an air inlet valve.
This configuration no longer fulfills the certification criteria in any way and offers only
minimal protection!

PROPER USE OF AN lTF09 CERTIFIED PROTECTOR IS OBlIGATORy IN GER-
MANy AND IS A REQUIREMENT FOR VAlID INSURANCE COVERAGE OF THE
PIlOT!

3D SEAT HARNESS
The 3D “single layer” seat harness was developed with sophisticated software to adapt
itself to the anatomy and body shape of the pilot. Multiple adjustment straps in the back
allow it to be adjusted and adapted to the individual needs of the pilot.
To increase comfort on long flights,
thin rods add stiffness and can easily
be removed through a conduit.
This allows the RANGE X-ALPS to be
flown without a seat board.

AERODyNAMICAlly OPTIMIZED FAIRING
To reduce drag and improve glide performance, an aerodynamically optimized ram air filled
fairing helps to reunite behind the pilot’s shoulders air vortices that originate at the front
of the harness.
