3.7 Mounting the duct

Assemble the duct by applying slight pressure in order to
engage the labyrinth joint.

When several subsequent ducts are mounted, the longi-
tudinal joint must be offset one quarter of a turn so that
the ducts retain their round shape.

3.7.1 Shortening ducts

Mark where to cut the duct; then saw off the superfluous
part.

Saw off the thickening of the longitudinal labyrinth joint
from the top and 40 mm downwards.

A shortened duct must not be used for fan suspension.
