Cruise control
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.
The cruise control system for retrofitting has exactly the same functionality as optional
equipment package 8T2, which is fitted at the factory.
6V0 054 690 – cruise control system for vehicles not equipped with an on-board computer,
6V0 054 691 – cruise control system for vehicles equipped with an on-board computer.
Note. The figures in these instructions provide general fitting
information. The instructions describe and illustrate the cruise
control fitting procedure for left-hand drive ŠKODA Fabia (NJ) vehi-
cles. Other than the differences illustrated, the procedure for fitting
the cruise control system to the ŠKODA Rapid (NH) is identical. Where
the fitting procedure for right-hand drive vehicles differs in any way,
this will be indicated in the instructions.
Please refer to the Owner's Manual for the vehicle to find out how to
operate the cruise control system.
If the BCM control unit installed in the vehicle has part number
6C0.937.087, 6C0.937.089, or 6C0.937.090 (Kessy), do not replace the
BCM control unit.
If the BCM control unit installed in the vehicle has part number
6C0.937.085, order the higher series BCM control unit with part
number 6C0.937.089 from the spare parts catalogue (ETKA).
The set is designed for left- and right-hand drive ŠKODA Fabia (NJ) and
ŠKODA Rapid (NH) vehicles.

Fitting procedure
The individual components are removed and refitted in accordance with the ŠKODA Repair
Manual.
The vehicle battery should be disconnected during fitting
(on vehicles with a coded radio,
first request the code).
Remove the following components from the engine compartment:
