BASIC RECORDING PROCEDURE
1 1 Rotate the function dial to .
2 2 Slide the power switch to turn on the camera.
• The power switch returns to the initial position.
When the power switch on in the recording mode, the initial setup for LCD
monitor is off, if you need turn on the LCD, please press once.
3 3 Determine the image composition while looking into LCD
monitor or viewfinder.
• When holding the camera, be sure not to cover the lens with your fingers and
so on.
• When the focus is not adjusted on the subject, use the focus lock function
(see page 37).
4 4 Adjust the image range and size with the / keys.
• When the key is pressed, the image size becomes large (Telephoto
mode). When the key is pressed, the image range becomes wide (Wide-
angle mode).
