HAND/OFF/AUTO Operation
HAND position
The pump will run at a fixed speed. The HAND mode frequency can be set in the VFD by entering a value in P.4.
NOTE: In HAND mode, the system pressure is not monitored so the system must be supervised at all times while being
used.
Changing the HAND Speed Reference (changes made on each VFD)
1. On the VFD, press
MODE
to choose the parameter setting mode.
2. Turn the
SETTING DIAL
until P.4 appears.
3. Press
SET
to read the current hand speed value. “60.00” (initial
value) appears.
4. Turn the
SETTING DIAL
to change it to the new hand speed value
“55.00”.
5. Press
SET
to save.
Flash --- Parameter setting complete!
• Press
MODE
twice to return the monitor to frequency monitor.

OFF position
The pump will not run.
AUTO position
The lead pump will not run if the pressure is above the Set Pressure. The lead pump will start automatically if the
pressure drops below the Set Pressure less the Start Diff. Press. Example: If the Set Pressure is 40 PSI, and the Start
Diff. Pressure is 5 PSI. The lead pump will start when the pressure drops below 35 PSI (see example below). The lag
pump will start when the lead pump is running at full speed and the pressure is below the Set Pressure less the Lag
Start Differential for five seconds. The lag pump will run at full speed while in operation. The lag pump will stop when
the pressure exceeds the Set Pressure plus the Lag Stop Differential for the Lag Stop Time.
