The offset value for the depth sensors are determined during calibration. The offset
value for the spread sensor must be entered manually based on your knowledge
about the physical locations of the sensors and the properties of the gear.

Improving the catch monitoring sensor receive signal
Sea conditions vary, and acoustic conditions can change. Therefore, it may be useful to
adjust the signal reception parameters and fine tune the FM90 operation, especially if you
are getting unexpected sensor data.
Prerequisites
• The physical installation of your PI/PX catch monitoring sensors must be complete.
• The Sonar Head must be running to do this procedure. If not, the
Sensor Setup
icon
will be greyed out.
Context
This button is located on the top bar.
Use this page to improve the catch monitoring sensors receive signal. The
default settings work in most environments. However, you can adjust these
settings for specific environmental conditions.
Procedure

Click the
Sensor Setup
button.

Select the
Fish Receiver Configuration
tab.

Make the necessary adjustments.
Tip
Make sure you select the correct water profile. Sound travels with different speeds
in salt and fresh water. For this reason, it is important that the FM90 knows your
water profile.

OK
to save the chosen settings and close the dialog box.
