Getting started

This chapter describes how to get started with the basic operation of the ES70.

This chapter assumes that the ES70 Fish finding echo sounder has at least one frequency
channel (transceiver and transducer) readily connected. If this is not the case, observe
the dedicated procedure.

Observe these procedures to switch the Simrad ES70 on and off.

Note

Before you power up the ES70 for the very first time, observe the procedures in chapter
Installation on page 15.

Make sure that you have sufficient water below the hull before you power up the ES70 .
If you start the ES70 with the transducer in air, you may damage it beyond repair!

Power on

This procedure explains how to power up the Simrad ES70.
