The programming of the CompactReader is retained when the battery
is changed.

Hold the cover firmly and slide the opening tool provided from be-
low into the bottom.

3. Remove the batteries from the CompactReader.
4. Insert the new batteries with the positive terminal facing upwards.
5. Insert the cover with the electronics and make sure that both halves
of the housing snap into place.
6. If necessary, operate the battery change card on the Compact-
Reader.
