“TYPE B” installations
The combustion air must be drawn through a permanent open-
ing, which MUST be present in the room where the appliance is
installed and MUST be made in accordance with the standards
and laws in force in the country where the appliance is used.

The flue is extremely important for the proper operation of the
installed device. If it is not carried out with the appropriate cri-
teria, burner malfunctions and noise amplification may occur, in
addition to the build-up of soot, condensate and encrustations.
A flue must therefore fulfil the following requirements:
– it must be made of waterproof material resistant to the fume
temperatures and to the relative condensate build-up
– it must have sufficient mechanical resistance and low ther-
mal conductivity
– it must be perfectly sealed to prevent cooling of the flue itself
– it must be as vertical as possible, and the end part must have
a static suction unit that ensures efficient and constant expul-
sion of combustion by-products
– in order to prevent wind from creating pressure zones around
the stack that could prevail on the ascending force of the
burned gases, the discharge outlet must protrude by at least
0,4m from any structure adjacent to the flue itself (including
the ridge of the roof) within a distance of 8 m
– The flue diameter must not be smaller than that of the boiler
coupling; for flues with square or rectangular cross-section,
the inner section must be increased by 10% with respect to
the section of the boiler coupling.
“TYPE C” installations
In order to use
“Type C”
installations, the boilers must be con-
verted using the kit code 8098815 for coaxial ducts made of
stainless steel Ø 80/125, and kit code 8098816 for separate
ducts.

CAUTION
– The maximum allowed length of the coaxial duct
must not exceed 6,0 equivalent metres. The head
loss in metres for each single accessory to be used
in the discharge configuration is shown in the table.
– The discharge system cannot include more than two
90° elbows.
– (*) For vertical ducts: it is MANDATORY to insert a
vertical condensate recovery device.
