for m crowave use. Corelle L v ngware closed handle
cups should not be used.

such as a pop bottle or salad o l bottle, as they may
explode f heated n a m crowave oven.
Do not use convent onal meat or candy thermometers.
There are the thermometers ava lable spec fically for
m crowave cook ng.
These may be used.

13. Always test the temperature of cooked food
yourself espec ally f you are heat ng or cook ng
food/l qu d for bab es. It s adv sable never to
consume food/l qu d stra ght from the oven but
allow t to stand for a few m nutes and st r food/
l qu d to d str bute heat evenly

14. Food conta n ng a m xture of fat and water

e.g.stock,should stand for 30-60 seconds n the
oven after t has been turned off. Th s s to allow
the m xture to settle and to prevent bubbl ng when
a spoon s placed n the food/l qu d or a stock cube
s added.
15. When prepar ng/cook ng food/l qu d and remember
that there are certa n foods, e.g. Chr stmas
pudd ngs, jam and m ncemeat, wh ch heat up very
qu ckly. When heat ng or cook ng foods w th a h gh
fat or sugar content do not use plast c conta ners.

transferred from the heated food.

(a)Do not overcook food. Carefully attend m crowave
oven f paper, plast c, or other combust ble mater als
are placed ns de the oven to fac l tate cook ng.
(b)Remove w re tw st-t es from bags before plac ng
bag n oven.
(c)If mater als ns de the oven should gn te, keep oven
door closed, turn the oven off at the wall sw tch, or
shut off power at the fuse or c rcu t breaker panel.
