Preparing tea
♦ Lift the jug off the base to fill it with water.
♦ Remove the lid from the jug by turning the lid to the position.
♦ Always remove the permanent filter and brewing chamber to fill the
jug with water.
♦ When filling, hold the jug upright. This allows you to read the markings
on the scale correctly.
♦ Fill the jug no further than up to the MAX mark to ensure that no boiling
water can spill out, but do fill it at least up to the MIN mark.
♦ Place the filled jug on the base .
♦ Insert the brewing chamber into the brewing chamber , holding it
by the handle. Pay attention to the recesses in the brewing chamber to
ensure it is secured correctly (see illustration).
♦ Flip the handle towards the spout.
♦ Place the desired amount of loose leaf tea into the permanent filter .
The dosing strongly depends on your own taste and the type, freshness and
variety of tea. We recommend the following for a full jug (1100 ml):
Fruit infusion
5 to 6 heaped teaspoons
Herbal infusion 4 to 5 heaped teaspoons
Black/green/white tea 2 to 3 heaped teaspoons
NOTE
► You can also use tea leaves or bags.
► You should rinse tea leaves briefly with cold water before use, in order to
remove any impurities and dirt particles.
► When using tea bags, ensure that no string or paper residues are left in the
jug from the use.
