♦ Insert the plug into a mains socket. You will hear a signal and the button
, the temperature buttons and the button will briefly flash in blue.
If the jug is not placed on the base , the button will flash in blue/
red. If the jug is placed on the base , the button will light up in
blue. The brewing time 0 min and the temperature button 100°C will
also light up. The appliance is now ready for use.
Before first use
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
► Never submerge the appliance under water or other liquids! There is
a risk of electric shock! The appliance may be irreparably damaged.
Before starting to use the appliance, ensure that the appliance, the plug and the
cable are in a fault-free condition and that all packaging materials are removed
from the appliance.
♦ Remove the lid from the jug by turning the lid to the position.
♦ Remove the permanent filter by the handle of the permanent filter .
♦ Remove the brewing chamber by its handle .
♦ Lift the jug off the base to fill it with water.
♦ When filling, hold the jug upright. This allows you to read the markings
on the scale correctly.
♦ Fill the jug up to the
MAX
mark.
♦ Place the lid on the jug in the position so that the handle
points to the mark.
♦ Close the lid by turning it to the position. Both marks face each
other.
♦ Place the jug on the base .
♦ The brewing time 0 min and the temperature button lights up, showing
100°C
.
♦ Press the button to boil the water. The button flashes blue during
the boiling process. When the boiling process is finished, you will hear a
signal and the button will light up in blue.
♦ After the water has boiled, pour it away.
♦ Rinse the jug with clear water.
♦ Fill the jug with water once more up to the MAX mark and let the water
boil. Pour this water away, too.
♦ Rinse the jug with clear water.
♦ Clean the lid , the permanent filter and the brewing chamber with
hot dishwater and rinse them thoroughly under running water.
♦ Dry all parts of the appliance.
