Getting ready

Two-step presser foot lifter

When sewing thick fabrics, the passage 

of fabrics under the presser foot can be 

improved by raising the two-step presser 

foot lifter (18) further (arrow).

Attaching the presser foot holder

Important:

Turn the power switch (20) to off ("O") 

when carrying out all the operations!

1. Install the presser foot holder

Raise the presser bar (A) by lifting the 

two-step presser foot lifter (18). Attach 

the presser foot holder (B) as illustrated.

2. Inserting the presser foot

Lower the presser foot bar (A) until the 

groove (C) is directly above the pin (D). 

Lower the presser foot bar (A) as far 

as it will go. The presser foot (a) will 

engage automatically.

3. Removing the presser foot

Raise the presser foot.
Press the lever (E) gently towards the 

front and the presser foot disengages.

4. Inserting the edge/ quilt guide (p)

As shown in the illustration carefully 

insert the edge/ quilt guide (p) e.g. For 

hems, pleats, etc.
