8: System Control

Operating L1 Controller

The L1 controller operates in one of two modes: L1 mode or console mode. In L1 mode,
the L1 prompt is visible and all input is directed to the L1 command processor. In console
mode, the output from the system is visible and all input is directed to the system.

Note:

Console mode is supported only if the system console is connected directly to the

console port of a Cx-brick. Under normal conditions, the system console is connected to
the L2 controller.

L1 Mode

If you see a prompt of the following form, the L1 is ready to accept commands.
