4 Installation
4.1 Mechanical mounting
Loss of type of protection
Actuator failure caused by worn sealing rings in the ball bearing and
radial shaft seals.
`
Operate the actuator within the admissible parameters (see chapter
).
Destruction of main bearings
Improper installation (e. g. tension on the driving shaft) causes addi-
tional heat development and destruction of the actuator in the long term.
`
Ensure a low shaft and angle offset between shaft and accommoda-
tion bore by applying appropriate manufacturing methods (see
Destruction of the main bearing / hollow shaft
Additional axial and radial loads cause destruction of the actuator.
`
Uncouple additional gears, cogged belt pulleys, etc. from actuator by
means of self-supported system construction.
Actuator failure
`
When mounting pay attention to the IP type of protection (see chap-
ter
).
`
Owing to the type of protection screw all mating connectors (see chap-
ter
) to the actuator by applying min. 1 Nm.
`
Do not open the actuator yourself (exception: see chapter
).
`
Avoid impact on the device.
`
Do not modify the device in any way.
Preparing mounting (
):
1. Make bore (øD1 or øD2) with distance (L1 or L2) to the driving shaft
3
.
2. Observe max. length (L3) and diameter (ød) of shaft
3
.
3. Untighten the M5 screw in the torque support
2
and M4 screw in the
clamping ring
4
respectively grub screw
