The electronic digital thermometer from SIKA is a forward-looking measuring device with ex-
tremely low-level power consumption.
The SolarTemp LC has an integrated solar module in the display unit which serves as energy
supply. It works reliably with artificial lighting of 80 Lux and upwards..
The SolarTemp LC functions according to a time-discrete
measurement process. The cycle time of each meas-
urement is 3 s; this ensures that a current value can al-
ways be read, even in passing.
The SolarTemp LC is available in two versions:
•
straight immersion tube.
•
right-angle immersion tube (90°).
1.1 Intended use
The electronic digital thermometer SolarTemp LC is a local temperature measuring device
which has been designed for measuring and displaying temperatures.
The operational safety of the supplied thermometer is only guaranteed if it is operated ac-
cording to its intended use. The specified limit values (

§ 7 "Technical Data") should never
be exceeded.
CAUTION! Risk of injury or material damage!
The SolarTemp LC should not expose to improper mechanical stress.

Never use the SolarTemp LC as a handle, foothold or something like that.
Prior to installation, ensure whether the material of the SolarTemp LC is suitable for the me-
dium which is to be measured (

Before you install the SolarTemp LC, read through this operating manual carefully. If the
instructions contained within it are not followed, in particular the safety guidelines, this
could result in danger for people, the environment, and the device and the system it is
connected to.
The SolarTemp LC correspond to the state-of-the-art technology. This concerns the accu-
racy, the operating mode and the safe operation of the device.
In order to guarantee that the device operates safely, the operator must act competently and
be conscious of safety issues.
SiKA provides support for the use of its products either personally or via relevant literature.
The customer verifies that our product is fit for purpose based on our technical information.
With this verification all hazards and risks are transferred to our customers; our warranty is
not valid.
