Important Information about UltraHigh Definition 4K TV

(cont)

Ways to obtain 4K content:

1. Watch on a 4K Blu-ray player.

2. Stream via HDMI by 4K compatible PC, TV box/media player and game console. At the moment, Netflix is the

only streaming service in Australia to offer 4K content. You’ll also need a decent internet connection speed

with a minimum speed of 25Mbps. Netflix recommends to stream 4K content on the NBN connection.

3. Watch on Youtube via HDMI by 4K compatible PC, TV box/media player and game console. Please be aware

that YouTube uses a different codec so some movies may not be supported by your PC, TV box or media

player.

4. Make your own via 4K camcorder or action cameras and play back via HDMI ports.

Note:

Please ensure you use HDMI cable which is 4K compatible.

NOTES:

4K files can not be played via USB ports. For detailed media file compatibility for USB port please see page 57.

For HDMI connection, use a cable that corresponds to HDMI1.4a+. HDMI1 and HDMI2 ports support Ultra HD

players or devices.

Some MKV movie files with audio codec DTS are not supported. Please convert DTS to AAC audio codec.

Although the YouTube service supports 4K resolution, because the content is posted by YouTube users, there is no

guarantee that the video was created in 4K or is up-converted to 4K resolution.

Refer to the supplied instruction manual from each of the devices being used for additional 4K support and

playback information.
