lens that can capture sharp images
of fast-moving subjects, such as
athletes in action and animals in
the wild. ELD (Extraordinary Low
Dispersion) glass is used to deliver
sharp, high-contrast images across
the entire aperture range. A Super
Multi-Layer Coating is used to
minimize the occurrence of flare
and ghosting. The lens housing
accommodates a rear insertion type
filter with its own revolving ring, as
well as a circular polarizing filter.
The HSM model makes fast AF
speeds and quiet shooting a reality,
and is capable of full-time manual
focus. It also accommodates
optional APO Tele Converters.
