Appendix G.

 

Configure APN 

This only applies when using a mini-SIM instead if the embedded SIM. 

The APN (Access Point Name) is used internally by the mobile network 
provider to setup various communication parameters. The default APN is 
an empty string.  

However, many mobile network providers require the APN to be set or 
may suddenly change its settings to require it. Therefore, it is 
recommended to set it by: 

Ask your SIM provider which APN should be used with the SIM. 

On a PC, make a text file with the name extapn.txt with the desired APN 
in its first (and only) line. 

1. Set the C22 in USB mode and copy the file above to the root 
of the SD-card. 

2. Reboot. This will configure the internal APN in the 
configuration. 

3. When succeeded, the file name above is changed to 
_extapn.txt. 

If, by some reason the APN needs to be set back to empty, create the file 
extapn.txt, keep it empty and follow steps 1 to 3 form the list above.
