Mounting the module
Before beginning mounting of the radio add
-
on mod-
ule, the network must be set to installation mode.
Since data transfer is implemented optically, it must
be ensured that the windows of the transmission
units, both on the add
-
on module and on the meter, are
clean and not damaged.
1.
Remove the interface cover on the meter
2.
Set the module in place
3.
Screw the module in place using the two screws provided
Only seal the add
-on
module after successful start
-up!
4.
Push the seals on the module to the screw head.
Shortly after placement, the module will set up a conne
c-
tion with the calculator unit via the optical interface and
read out the device information from the heat meter.
Successful connection is displayed on the meter as fo
l-
lows:

Module with external antenna
In the case of modules with an external antenna, proceed
as follows:
• If the distribution box door is made of plastic, the a
n-
tenna is fixed to the inside of the door using hot glue.
• In the case of metal doors, the antenna must be routed
along the side to the outside and fixed to the masonry.
• In the case of full
-
metal distribution boxes on concrete
walls, the antenna is routed to the outside through a
bore hole in the switch cabinet.
We recommend mounting the antenna vertically at
a distance of at least 10 cm from other metal parts
and in a separate cable channel for protection.
To avoid reflections, the antenna must be mounted d
i-
rectly on the wall when the box is located on a concrete
wall.
No attachments with metal parts may be used. Ideally,
hot glue attachment of the cable channel is recom-
mended.
During mounting, make sure that the minimum bending
radius of 35 mm is observed.
