Installation and commissioning
The assembly must be installed ensuring
accessibility to controls and switching
devices. Technical reviewers design
must consider maintenance switchgear
prescriptions.
For this reason, electric rooms always
include walkable area between walls
and panels. Dimensioning allows
possible doors, swivel frames, rear
walls, sidewalls full-opening and mobile
part extraction in case of withdrawable
circuit breaker. In emergency case, the
exits can be reached easily, even if
module doors are opened. The drawing
shows the minimum dimensions to be
complied with. When the equipment it
is installed or lifted by lift trucks, it is
necessary to provide sufficient clearance
for each devices.

Fastening switchboard
Large-size assemblies are fastened to
the floor, whether directly or through a
base, by expansion accessories. Make

sure that the supporting surface is
perfectly level and the fastening holes
are correctly arranged. Small-size
assemblies (secondary distribution)
are fastened to the walls by standard
brackets.

Junction kit
Defining mechanical points of
subdivision in long switchboards is
a preliminary phase. During frame
installation and before its fastening
to the floor, the different sections are
jointed mechanically. For electrical
part, the connections must be restored
on junction points. SIVACON S4 system
connections are made in a traditional
method or by junction kit (image below).
Supporting terminals must be provided
for the connecting cables.
