7.1.5.9 Master reset
Options Result
Factory defaults Resets all parameters to the manufacturer’s
default settings, with certain exceptions: see
Factory defaults (Page 96).
Standard defaults Resets all resettable parameters excluding
device addresses to the PROFIBUS default
settings.
Informational Resets Tag parameter.
Functional Resets parameters that control device behavior,
such as Low Calibration Pt.
Warm start Has the same effect as recycling power to the
device.
Reset address to 126 Resets the PROFIBUS device address to 126.
If the address lock was on, will disable the lock.
7.1.5.10 Factory defaults
Factory Defaults resets all user parameters to the default settings, with certain exceptions. The
list of exceptions includes, but is not limited to:
● Tag
● Message
● Descriptor
● Installation Data
● Device Address
● Write Protection
● Auto False Echo Suppression Range
● Learned TVT
To perform a reset to Factory Defaults:
1.
Open the menu Device – Master Reset, and click on Factory Defaults.
2. After the reset is complete click on Close, then upload parameters to the PC/PG. (If you are
performing a reset after replacing the device with a different instrument, do not upload
parameters to the PC/PG.)
Resetting the PROFIBUS address to 126
1.
Open the menu Device – Master Reset and click on Reset Address to 126.
2. Click on OK: the address will be reset to 126, and if the address lock was on, it will be
disabled.
