Commissioning the demo project

You need the hardware to test the functionality of the SITOP UPS1600 and the
PSU8600. Testing with PLCSIM is not possible. You can, however, load the AS
program in PLCSIM and it is possible to set the signals of the redundancy and
selectivity modules or display them.

Installation

Before opening the project, install the Generic Station Description (GSD) of the
UPS1600 and of the PSU8600 on your engineering system.

The GSD and a corresponding installation manual for the SITOP UPS1600 can be
found in the entry "GSD for SITOP UPS1600 for integration in STEP 7 V5" in the

3. Open the de-archived project.
