SMC30 modules. The DRIVE-CLiQ hub transfers the signals to the CU320-2 via a single
DRIVE-CLiQ cable.
The interface converter converts the HTL input signals from the rotary encoder into two
separate RS-422 (5V) outputs. The inputs are electrically isolated from the outputs. The output
sections I and II are also electrically isolated from one another. The encoder signals received
by the interface converter are also transferred to the first Sensor Module via the X521 terminals.

PADU8 diagnosis module (option G66)
In addition to the standard PROFIBUS connection for process control, this diagnostics module
also allows the exchange of signals via digital and analog inputs and outputs. The signals are
transmitted as isolated signals.
3.2.9
Pulse distributor for splitting speed encoder signal (option G70)
This pulse distributor is capable of splitting the encoder signal. This possibility is used, for
example, when speed list values from an HTL incremental encoder are required at various
points for measured-value acquisition and processing. The pulse distributor converts the HTL
incremental encoder signals to two separate RS422 signal outputs. The inputs are electrically
isolated from the outputs. The connection is made by means of 8-pin terminal blocks.
3.2.10
Optical bus terminal (OBT) for PROFIBUS (option G71)
PROFIBUS OBT is a network component for use in optical PROFIBUS DP fieldbus networks.
The individual bus nodes are connected using two-phase plastic fiber-optic cables. This also
provides an automatic isolation. Potential differences in large-scale plants do not have any
influences. The OBT has the following interfaces:
● Channel 1 is an electrical RS485 interface provided as a 9-pin SUB-D socket. This interface
establishes the connection to the drive control.
● Channels 2 and 3 are the optical interface. These take the form of a duplex socket and can
be used to provide a connection to higher-level control systems.
3.2.11
ET200S I/O system (option G78)
The ET200S distributed I/O system comprises modules to control (open loop) and monitor
auxiliary drives. The I/O system can be combined from digital and analog input and output
modules, technology modules, motor starters and converters for the control of drives up to 7.5
or 4 kW. The I/O system is controlled using the PROFIBUS/PROFINET telegram via
SIMOTION D445.
The option comprises the following components:
● 26 digital electronic modules with 4 inputs (6ES7131-4BD01-0AA0 / 4DI 24V DC)
● 2 digital electronic modules with 4 inputs (6ES7132-4BD32-0AA0 / 4DO 24V DC)
