PG 720 P Programming Device

The number of sectors which are transmitted per interrupt are transferred in the
“Multi-Sector Transfers” field. The value depends on the drive and should only
be set using the autotype function.

Disabled

Sectors

“Enabled” in the “LBA Mode Control” field (enabled, disabled) means that hard
disk capacities greater than 528 MB are supported. The value depends on the
drive and should only be set using the autotype function.

The type of access to the drive is defined in the option ”32 Bit I/O”:

Disabled

16-bit access

Enabled

32-bit access

The transmission rate to the IDE drive is set in the “Transfer Mode” field. The
value depends on the drive and should only be set using the autotype function.

The following settings are possible:

Standard, Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2, Fast PIO3, Fast PIO4.

You should never set a higher Fast PIO mode than that set by the autotype
function.

We recommend that you use the autotype function.

With specific operating systems, such as SCO OOT3.0, SORIX, etc., you may
have to set the “LBA Mode” to “disabled”.
