Contacts of the bus module
WARNING
Dangerous system conditions
• Access to the contact of a bus module, a U-connector or a module is impermissible.
When a bus module is used, unused slots must be protected by slot covers.
• When U-connectors are used, it is not permissible to plug an unused U-connector in the
last module of the station.
3.4 Commissioning
Requirement for commissioning: Configuration
The configuration of the CP is complete.
Downloading the configuration data
The configuration data can be loaded to the CPU via any PN/IE interface of the controller.
The configuration data of the CP is transferred when the station is loaded. When the CPU
starts up, the CP is supplied with the relevant data.
During loading via Ethernet, connect the engineering station to the PN/IE interface of the
station.

Pulling / plugging the CP during operation
WARNING
No pulling or plugging in hazardous zone 2
Pulling or plugging of modules is generally prohibited in hazardous zone 2.
Outside of hazardous zones, the CP can be pulled and plugged during operation depending
on type of installation:

Installation in the bus module
The CP can be pulled or plugged when the power supply is switched on.
