Making the most of the space
- The fittings in the body of the refrigerator
and on the inside of the door are
ADJUSTABLE so that you can organize the
internal space at any time to meet your
changing needs.
- You can adjust the height of the internal
shelves and can also TILT them to make
room for BOTTLES and BOXES.
- Some models come equipped with a bottle
rack especially designed to store bottles on.
Where to store different foods
- As a GENERAL RULE it is best to keep
each type of food in its proper place.
- The COLDEST AREA of the refrigerator is
immediately above the VEGETABLE
BOXES. This is the best place to keep
FISH AND MEAT.
- The LEAST COLD AREAS are the VEGE-
TABLE BOXES, the INSIDE OF THE
DOOR and the TOP SHELF. These are the
best places for FRUIT AND VEGETABLES,
DAIRY PRODUCTS and DRINKS.
- On the inside of the door there is a bottle
rack and areas for the storage of jars, dairy
products, eggs, etc.
Note refrigeration zones in the refrigerator
compartment!
The air circulation in the refrigerator
compartment means that there are zones at
different temperatures.
Depending on the model, the zone for sensitive
foods is right at the bottom between the arrow
on the side and the glass surface below
(fig.
O
/1 and 2)
or between the two arrows
(fig.
P
/1 and 2)
. Ideal for storing meat, fish,
sausage and salad mixtures, etc.
Hints for the user
Follow the advice below for greater
appliance EFFICIENCY:
- NEVER put WARM food in your refrigerator.
- Do not open the DOOR more than is
NECESSARY.
- Check that all food is WRAPPED or placed
in AIRTIGHT CONTAINERS to avoid the
mingling of ODOURS.
- NEVER use the refrigerator to store
VOLATILE FLAMMABLES. A leak could
cause a violent EXPLOSION.
- Fruits and vegetables keep preferably
wrapped in plastic bags to avoid an
excessive loss of humidity.
Defrosting
The refrigerator compartment has AUTOMATIC
DEFROST which comes into operation
WHENEVER the COMPRESSOR UNIT cuts out.
The WATER from defrosting drains through a
hole in the back of the TANK and evaporates
automatically to cool the MOTOR. This cycle is
designed to improve overall SYSTEM
EFFICIENCY.
Your ONLY TASK is to make sure that the
water OUTLET is CLEAN (figure
