Tweezers, hot air blower, soldering iron
Working material:
solder, flux, desolder wick
Diagnosis:
Problems with charging or switch on problems.
Connector is damaged (optical inspection).
Repair:
Desolder the faulty battery connector with a hot air blower.
Due to the fact that there are small SMT devices near the connector pins the air flow
of the hot air blower should be low to prevent that the components are blown away.
Suck away solder on the pads with desolder wick. Put some flux on the pads.
Take a new battery connector and solder it with a soldering iron on the board.
Make sure that the plastic part of the connector does not melt.
Test:
Connect a charger and check the charging function.
Connect a headset and check the headset function.
Connect a PC and check the function.
