Installation
Intended use
The interbases FDSB221, FDSB228, and FDSB229 are used
to provide an acoustic alarm. The interbase FDSB228 also
features an optical alarm.
The interbase FDSB229 also features an optical display.
The interbases are installed on the detector base and can be
used on their own or in combination with a point detector.

When installing, use a secured ladder or work
platform
1.
Mount and install a detector base or remove the point
detector from the detector base in the case of installed
systems. The interbase FDSB228 can only be mounted on
the ceiling.
2.
Install the accessories you require.
3.
Place the interbase on the detector base and turn it
clockwise until it snaps into place.
4.
Place either the covering plate or the point detector on the
interbase and turn it clockwise until it snaps into place.
5.
Secure the blanking plate with a seal label (1). The self-
adhesive seal label (1) is attached above the nearest bar of
the sounder opening to the horizontal zero point. Equal
parts of the seal label (1) must be placed on the interbase
and on the blanking plate. Ensure a grease-free surface
and press the seal label (1) down firmly.
Removing the interbase
1.
Turn the point detector or covering plate counter-clockwise
until it is released from the interbase.
2.
Release the interbase's detector locking device.
3.
Turn the interbase counter-clockwise from the detector
base.
