SPI Flash Boot
An SPI can also be used to boot I-TCM and D-TCM (256 KByte in total). This boot pro-
cess can involve acyclic communication data or application code for rapid execution (e.g.
for the digital IO of the ECO PN). To meet fast start-up requirements, booting must be
completed within ca. 100 - 150 msec. High-speed SPI flash is therefore required.Figure

SPI flash: serial input timing show the
timing for a 7-MHz SPI flash (in this case Winbond W25X10/20/40). Table 19:
parameters for SPI flash (75 MHz) lists the critical timing parameters.
At a frequency of 25 MHz, booting 256 KByte takes ca. 85 msec.
