We recommend that a PC is connected to an SR35i and the software is installed

before any routers or Codoors so that the connection with each wireless unit may

be verified as installation progresses.

7.1 Bewator Entro Installer program

The

Bewator Entro Installer

program can be used for both configuring equipment

and verifying the connection.

Detection of new units

If a site is

not yet

configured in the PC database and new units are connected the

installer program will try to detect all available units, i.e. all units with the correct

segment ID and installation key. The address and type of each unit will automati-

cally be stored and displayed.

Configuring

All SR35i controllers connected to the PC are listed. The

Segment ID

and the

In-

stallation key

of any SR35i can be displayed. These parameters are needed for

creating the wireless network.
For enabling each RF30-EM Codoor to seek to connect to the SR35i, it must be

configured with these parameters and a unique address as described in the instal-

lation manual. Similarly each RF9 must be configured with the Segment ID and a

unique address.
The PC shows every RF9 and RF30-EM that it detects, with their addresses. This

enables a name to be given to each unit. Also check that the unit is intended to be

in the network position shown.

System information

Under the System Menu, click on System Information for a graphical summary of

the whole network. Select any unit for a summary of its address and system status

(units, addresses, firmware versions etc.) or to update the firmware.

7.2 Door monitor program

This

Door monitor

program is used for displaying and searching the logs recording

events, but also for some system commands (e.g. remotely unlocking doors).
Events related to the wireless network are also displayed. This includes e.g. com-

munication problems, low batteries, mechanical problem at door environment etc.
While verifying communication over the network, status changes displayed by this

program can be useful.
The program can preferably be used for displaying complementary status infor-

mation when verifying the overall communication.
