Replacing the fan

At the bottom of the rectifier unit a fan is mounted for cooling the power
section.

On the 15kW/ 6SE7024-1EP85-0AA0 rectifier unit and the 50kW/
100kW rectifier units the fan runs continuously once the 24 V supply
voltage has been connected.

On the 15kW/ 6SE7024-1EP85-0AA1 rectifier unit it is switched on and
off depending on the unit’s temperature.

The fan is designed for an operating duration of L

≥

35 000 hours at

an ambient temperature of Tu = 45 °C.

A replacement fan must be fitted in good time to ensure the availability
of the unit.

Disconnect the rectifier unit from the supply and remove it

Open housing

Withdraw X20

Withdraw two cables

with flat connector

from the fan

(red = +)

Carefully bend up the

fastening lugs

Press out four expansion

rivets

Undo four fastening

screws

Take out the fan and ventilation grille

Remove the ventilation grille and fix it on the new fan

Install the new fan in the reverse order.

The air must flow in the direction of the inside of the unit (observe
directional arrow on fan housing)!
