The external braking resistor is connected to a terminal block on the top
of the unit.

For 50 kW rectifier unit:
25 mm² (AWG 2)
For 100 kW rectifier unit: 50 mm² (AWG 1/0)

The thermostatic switch of the braking resistor must be integrated in the
de-energization circuit of the main contactor.
7.2 Control connections
The unit requires an external 24 V voltage supply for operation.
The two-pole connection necessary for this is provided at the top of the
unit.

In order to afford protection against direct contact, the external 24 V
power supply must be of the PELV system type (Protective Extra
Low Voltage). The power supply reference potential will then
definitely be grounded.

Fuse –Fx must be fitted in order to protect the printed conductors
against overload in the event of a unit malfunction, e.g. a short
circuit in the control electronics or a wiring error.
