Communication

 

 

This  inverter  has  powerful  communication  interfaces  through  which  the  Inverter  can  be  monitored 
directly with a PC or an external data logger. The inverter’s firmware can also be updated by qualified 
personnel via the USB interface if needed. 

6.1. USB Port (on Inverter) 

 
The  PV  inverter  is  equipped  with  an  USB  port  at  the  bottom which  enables  the  user  to  monitor  the 
real-time status of inverter using specified software on PC. Firmware upgrade for the inverter can also 
conducted via this interface.  
 
To use the USB port, please firstly unscrew the cover and use USB type-A to type-B USB cable for the 
connection between PC (laptop) and the inverter.

6.2. Communications slot for RS-485 

 
PV inverter has an extended slot for an optional communication interface. Through installing a RS-485 
card (standard) or compliant card to extend the communication function of the Inverter. To use this slot, 
please use a screwdriver to open the cover, insert the card into the slot and wire through the rubber 
bushing.  
 
For further information, please contact with your dealer. 
 
Take the SOLEIL 1F-TL4K drawing as example: 

          

After installation of RS485 card, user can link PC with Inverters and monitor their real-time operation 
status remotely. 

 

Note: 

The communication slot cover must be properly assembled and installed in order to maintain 
waterproof grade of the unit.
