Safety lock “T3”
A safety lock can be installed instead of the daytime
release “TE”. This limits the activation of the opening
gap of the door.
In addition, separate frame parts, designed for the
respective door system, with a security catch and the
“T2” attachment defined in the material description are
required.
The “T3” door safety lock is available for all standard
backsets of the AS 3500 multi-point lock from 35 to
80 mm. In this way, the lever handle and the turn button
for the safety lock are arranged on a visual axis. The
metric fixing screws (countersunk, 8 mm) are provided
with the safety lock.
Operation
The “T3” safety lock is activated from the inside by
rotating the turn button 90° in the direction of the frame
parts (not included in the delivery program of KFV).
The door is opened by a 90° rotation in the opposite
direction.

The AS3500 multi-point lock can also be equipped
with the “T4” safety lock (only available preassembled
ex works) instead of the retrofittable “T3” safety lock.
The function is equivalent to that of the “T3” safety lock
and an additional feature is that it can be opened from
outside via the cylinder lock. The installation of the “TE”
daytime release is not possible in this case.
