Vessel Transom
mark bolt holes.
Remove the tunnel and mark the
internal centre diameter on vessels
transom.
Install gear leg
(refer to model installation guide)
apply gelcoat or similar both
externally and internally
around the bolt areas

IMPORTANT
Boatbuilder/Naval arcitect must be
counsulted and approve if transom
must be customized in order to get the
stern thruster to be installed.
IMPORTANT
Sealant must be
compatible with
tunnel and
transom material.
Ensure to follow
sealant manufac-
turer technical data
regarding priming
and application of
the sealant.

Support for the thruster:
Placing the thruster on it sides creates a strain on the gear leg and motor bracket in supporting the weight of the motor. The weight stain can potentially
cause damage to the installed product, especially in heavy seas. Create a support frame for the motor to rest upon reducing the weight strain on the
thruster and tunnel connection point.

All drainage holes or other openings from wet areas into the
thruster compartment must be sealed.

The vessels stringers often include drain holes from the side
compartments

Plate above bilge where the steering system and other
technical installations are usually installed

Ensure there are draining holes in these positions to lead the water
to the bilge pump.

Install anti-drip edges on all surfaces above the thruster
compartment to ensure water will drain to surrounding wet areas of
the bilge.
