he repeater is provided for different alarm conditions through

he display of different alarm
conditions on
GUI
is a guiding tool for locating the faulty module.
T
he details of alarms in the system is given in clause
6.2
with reference to figure
10
& the associated table which is self explanatory and it shall guide the
maintenance team to detect the faulty unit.

ome of the conditions, which may be observed in field after installation, are
tabulated below:

power cord and make sure the power switch is
on.

Check all the connectors of the repeater system for proper
connections.

he
“BTS”
port has to be connected to donor antenna.
•

he
“MS”
port has to be connected to server antenna.
•
C
heck the continuity of
RF
cables going to antennas.
•
C
heck for any alarm on
GUI/VFD
relating power low.
•
C
heck the
RSSI
at the in put.
•
C
heck the configuration & set limits.
3. S
peech quality is
observed to be
low
/
unclear
/
with
echo.
•
V
ertical
&
horizontal separation between the donor & server
antennas should be adequate for proper isolation.
•
G
ain of the repeater may be high, it may have to be reduced.

he system
performed well in
the beginning but
after few days,
the performance
has degraded.
•
C
heck the RSSI at the in put.
•
C
heck the line of sight of donor antenna with the
BTS
.
Observe if any new building has come up which might be
obstructing the signals.
•
V
erify the net gain of repeater in
DL & UL
paths if required
the gain may be adjusted.
•
R
elocate the donor antenna to solve the problem if
necessary.
•
C
heck the
RF
cable for physical damage if any. Also check
